Position: Production Editor
Classification: Exempt
Reports to: Director of Business Development and Production
Primary Responsibilities: Assists production department in fulfilling editing and production needs for broadcast, promotion, educational services and client services.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Edit long and short form video projects utilizing station non-linear edit systems.
- Monitor post-production equipment and recommend needed maintenance.
- Ensure compliance of technical specifications and standards.
- Provide accurate accounting of post-production services.
- Work on studio and field productions and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Television Production, Journalism or related field preferred.
- Minimum three years prior experience with non-linear editing experience; Avid, Photoshop or similar graphics program.
- Valid driver’s license, strong organizational skills and the ability to work adjusted schedules also required.
