CET to Broadcast, Stream LUMENOCITY

Friday, July 25, 2014 - 09:51

Public Media Connect – ThinkTV and CET – will be helping the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra to bring LUMENOCITY® 2014 to viewers across the region. If you get CET 48.1 on your television, you’ll be able to watch the event broadcast LIVE on Saturday, Aug. 2. We’ll also be livestreaming the entire event online all three days, and feeding the live show to Riverbend and Fountain Square on Sunday, August 3.

CET also has partnered with WCPO 9 On Your Side and will provide the Saturday evening concert, LUMENOCITY: Live from Washington Park, for simulcast on channel 9.1 beginning at 9 :30pm.  WCPO 9 On Your Side will add concert coverage beginning at  9pm with LUMENOCITY : Lighting Up A City Inspired and will follow with a post concert program, LUMENOCITY: The AfterGlow  beginning at 10:30pm. Both of the WCPO 9 On Your Side programs will be hosted by Good Morning Tri-State co-anchors Kathrine Nero and Chris Riva.

The first half of the LUMENOCITY: Live from Washington Park event features conductor John Morris Russell leading the Cincinnati Pops with guest performers. During the second half, The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, led by Music Director Louis Langrée, will perform five selections set to stunning visuals projected onto the façade of Music Hall. The live broadcast will only feature the second half of the show, but the entire production will be streamed online.
