Digital Innovator Application Deadline is Feb. 13!
What comes to mind when you think of education innovation? Maybe someone with an interesting new teaching method? How about somebody using technology to reach students in a new way? If that’s what you thought, well, we are all on the same wavelength!
Here at ThinkTV and CET, we believe that digital education innovators set the bar for thoughtful tech integration in the classroom, and their bold and enthusiastic perspective sets them apart as change-makers, which can help unlock new worlds for their students. The PBS Digital Innovator program is a professional development opportunity for highly engaged pre-K-12 educators whose innovative use of technology and media create exciting learning experiences for their students. Last year’s class of Digital Innovators included Dayton’s own Kevin Cornell, or Mister C for short! Mister C knows that every day is unique and exciting when working with students and teachers. Whether it’s creating a Digital Media Integration course for middle schoolers or working to help teachers embrace technology through professional development opportunities, Mister C knows that authentic learning should be at the core of every activity! You can meet Mister C and all of the 2016 innovators here http://www.pbs.org/education/digitalinnovators/class-of-2016.
If you think you’re like Mister C and you have what it takes to be a PBS Digital Innovator, then apply for the 2017 Class of Digital Innvators! Through a competitive process, one educator from each state, the District of Columbia and the U.S Territories will selected to participate.
The application includes three basic elements:

- Write a Short Essay
- In 250 words or less, tell us how you contribute to a culture of innovation in your classroom and/or school.
- Upload a Biography and Pictures
