REACH Reading Program Launched

Posted by Kellie May on

ThinkTV and CET are proud to announce that we’ve partnered with local school districts to create an innovative reading program called REACH.

REACH (Reading Expand All Children’s Horizons) is a collection of 32 interactive, self-paced reading lessons designed to bolster reading achievement for Kindergarten and first grade students by engaging parents as their child’s at-home learning partners.  REACH lessons are available to everyone through PBS LearningMedia, one of the nation’s largest digital media libraries for educators. Lessons can be accessed from any location with internet capability. The reading lessons, combining interactive learning activities, videos and games, are aligned to national standards and best classroom learning practices. More information about REACH is available at www.REACH1to1Reading.org.

The REACH collection was developed by ThinkTV/CET in partnerships with reading specialists from the following Ohio schools:  Milton-Union Exempted Village Schools, Piqua City Schools and Franklin Monroe Schools. The initiative is supported by the Ohio Department of Education’s Straight A Fund.
