This class will provide youth planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills, learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe, help children behave and learn about child care and basic first aid. The recommended age for this course is 11 – 15 years old.
Learn how purpose and meaning can be a part of life at all stages of dementia. Dr. Peter Whitehouse, author of The Myth of Alzheimer’s, presents: Exploring Dementia in Search of Purpose and Meaning. As a neurologist, researcher, and educator, Dr. Whitehouse has learned that a meaningful like for those with dementia does not need to end with the occurrence or worsening of symptoms. All members of the community are encouraged to attend.
This 5 week program will take you through the quitting process. Each one hour class will focus on topics ranging from “thinking about quitting” to “staying quit for life”. There will be time for questions and additional support.

This is part 2 of a 2 part series and will include: the three steps of eating well, choosing foods & reading labels, extras such as sugar substitutes and alcohol, exercise and making changes and preventing health complications. Class size is limited and is filled on a first-call, first-served basis.
