Donated by Glass by James Michael recently relocated to North Dayton, item number 103 on the Super Board is number six from a series of ten exquisitely hand blown glass vessels created expressly to support the mission of PBS. 2008 marks the tenth and final year of this ten-year series, collectively known as the PBS Blues. This unique work of art, valued at $2,800, has been signed and numbered by the artist, Noah Wilsey, under the direction of James Kahle. This final series piece incorporates aspects of all 10 years of the series through the use of crazy cane. This cane, made up of 27 shades of blue glass, folded, twisted and pulled into canes is then sliced, laid on its side, picked up and incorporated into the vessel. The finished size of this piece is approximately 16 inches in diameter and 11 inches tall.
