Many cases of colorectal cancer can be prevented through health screenings. Your doctor can find “polyps,” which are tumor-like growths, and remove them BEFORE they become cancer. The hitch -- you have to have the screening.
Beginning March 1 through March 31, you can pickup a FREE easy-to-use colorectal home screening test to help find colon and rectal cancers early at over 30 participating Kroger Pharmacies in: Beavercreek, Centerville, Dayton, Englewood, Fairborn, Greenville, Huber Heights, Kettering, Lebanon, Miamisburg, Middletown, Piqua, Sidney, St. Mary’s, Springboro, Springfield, Trenton, Troy, Vandalia and Wilmington.
Each colorectal home screening test includes a free EZ DetectTM test. This test may find hidden blood in the stool, which can be an early sign of colorectal disease, including polyps or cancer. This test does not require handling of the stool or laboratory analysis. After you do your screening in the privacy of your home, send your postage paid results card back to Premier Community Health (PCH) to be entered to win one of forty $25 Kroger gift cards. If you have an abnormal or questionable result, a health educator from PCH will call you to talk about what to do next.
