ThinkTV, in partnership with Dayton History, is bringing Roy Underhill to Carillon Historical Park on October 27th to kick off the Newcom Tavern Preservation Project. At over 200 years old and after enduring two moves, Newcom Tavern is in need of protective work that will safeguard this landmark for generations to come.
Come to Carillon Historical Park on Saturday, October 27th to see Roy in action during two woodworking demonstrations in front of Newcom Tavern at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Roy will demonstrate the use of early American hand tools in an interactive and entertaining format. Book signings will follow each 45-minute demonstration in the Kettering Family Education Center.
Carillon Historical Park members will be admitted at no charge. If you are not a member you may apply for membership or pay a one-day only admission fee.
