Women and Stroke – Lunch-N-Learn Event

Every minute counts for stroke victims and acting fast can lead to better outcomes for all, but the facts speak for themselves; the number one cause of admission to nursing homes is stroke. Stroke kills twice as many women as breast cancer every year. Women are more likely to suffer a stroke than men. Many women report unique stroke symptoms that men do not. Erin Greene, Neuroscience Clinical Nurse Specialist, believes it’s important that we recognize stroke as FAST as possible.
