GED Connection and Workplace Essential Skills Streaming Videos Now Available!

The Ohio Literacy Council has partnered with local PBS stations to provide 24 hour access to streaming videos for the adult education series GED Connection and Workplace Essential Skills. Videos, lessons, and online practice tools, as well as information for registering and taking the GED exam are available online at:

Ohio Ready to Work

If your students or adult learners need help passing the GED or need help improving their workplace skills, resources are now available! ThinkTV in partnership with Ohio Ready to Work, the Dayton Metro Library, and with generous support from the George P. Quatman Fund –Fifth Third Bank Trustee, has placed copies of the award winning series GED Connections and Workplace Essential Skills in the Main branch of the Dayton Metro Library. The DVD learning modules and accompanying workbooks are now available for checkout! GED Connection

GED Connection programs focus on the core content addressed on the GED test. Part of the LiteracyLink program created by PBS, Kentucky Educational Television, and the National Center on Adult Literacy, GED Connection also includes workbooks, and practice tests to help prepare for test taking.

The Ohio Channel

The Ohio Channel is a service of Ohio's public broadcasting stations. A new concept in public affairs programming, the Ohio Channel combines Statehouse coverage with locally produced PBS programs to give a statewide perspective on issues that affect the lives of all Ohioans.

 

 


Just for Parents

Just for Parents features selected shows that demonstrate parenting and child-care skills on a variety of topics: child development, discipline, communication, special needs, literacy, infant care, and school issues. Programs are broadcast from 9:00-9:30 am Monday through Friday on ThinkTV channel 14.
