Splash and Bubbles
Wednesdays at 10am and 2pm on ThinkTV16
Splash and Bubbles, the new PBS Kids series, tells the story of Splash, the yellow fusilier fish, and his pal Bubbles, the Mandarin Dragonet, as they explore the world’s ocean habitats, all while making new friends and learning valuable life lessons under the sea.
Splash and Bubbles was developed with an advisory panel of top marine biologists, digital innovators and educators. The show is grounded in marine biology curriculum that focuses on themes of diversity, individuality, interconnectedness and the celebration of learning and discovery. The 40-episode series will introduce the importance of taking care of our oceans, followed by teaching concepts of a good ecological balance.
“Splash will engage and educate young viewers by presenting the novelty of the ‘strange but true’ world that is the ocean with humor and music. Funny character-driven songs will help to reinforce the show’s learning objectives: helping kids build key skills as they sing along with their underwater friends,” said series creator John Tartaglia in a press release.
Splash and Bubbles was created by John Tartaglia (Johnny &The Sprite), the Jim Henson Company (Dinosaur Train) and Herschend Enterprises (Harlem Globetrotters). This multi-platform media property will debut this fall on PBS stations nationwide, along with 11 minutes of integrated digital content.
