Women and Stroke – Lunch-N-Learn Event
Noon – 1pm
Vandalia Senior Citizen Center
21 Tionda Drive South, Vandalia
Every minute counts for stroke victims and acting fast can lead to better outcomes for all, but the facts speak for themselves; the number one cause of admission to nursing homes is stroke. Stroke kills twice as many women as breast cancer every year. Women are more likely to suffer a stroke than men. Many women report unique stroke symptoms that men do not. Erin Greene, Neuroscience Clinical Nurse Specialist, believes it’s important that we recognize stroke as FAST as possible.
*This is a free Lunch-N-Learn event co-hosted by Good Samaritan Hospital and Brookhaven Retirement Community. A complimentary lunch will be served.
*Registration is Required – Call 1-888-265-8833 to RSVP before January 12.
