If you are at risk of having heart disease and/or stroke, Life Line Screening offers the following:
Carotid Artery Screening – Visualizes the build-up of plaque in the arteries that supply blood to the brain (most strokes are linked to carotid artery blockage)
Atrial Fibrillation (A-Fib) Assessment – A test to measure irregular heartbeats; having A-Fib increases your risk of stroke 5 times and may lead to congestive heart failure
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Ultrasound - Looks for an enlargement or ballooning of the main artery in your body. The majority of people who have had a ruptured aneurysm had no prior symptoms.
Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) - Screens for Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) in the legs. PAD is closely linked to heart disease
