
The ThinkTV Reading Rainbow “Young Writers and Illustrators” Contest, is a competition that encourages young children in kindergarten through the third grade to use their imagination while improving literacy skills by writing and illustrating their own stories.
Every entrant in the Reading Rainbow contest will receive a Certificate of Achievement signed by Reading Rainbow host LeVar Burton. ThinkTV will acknowledge first-, second- and third-place winners with prizes and the opportunity to read their winning stories for broadcast on ThinkTV16.

Reading Rainbow invites children in Kindergarten through Third grade to create a picture book for entry in the 14th Annual “Reading Rainbow” Young Writers and Illustrators Contest. Stories can be fact or fiction, prose or poetry. Each grade level will be judged separately.

What is the Young Writers and Illustrators Contest?
