NOVA: Hunt for the Supertwister

One of the most powerful tornadoes ever recorded carved a path of complete destruction near Oklahoma city in May of 1999. To scientists, the supertwister held sobering lessons about the future of rapidly expanding cities in tornado-threatened areas. "Hunt for the Supertwister" includes a segment on the 1999 tornado in Moore, OK, the site of this week's destruction.

Secrets of the Dead: The Airmen and the Headhunters

The story of a World War II U.S. bomber crew that, after its plane was downed over Borneo by Japanese antiaircraft fire, was taken in by the infamous Dakar tribe known for headhunting. The documentary features archival footage.
